WHITE PINE SIDING

     We use Eastern white pine for our barns and sheds for siding. Siding may be applied vertically or horizontally.  Siding is full 1 inch thick, with 2 inch overlap on horizontal siding.  Board and batten style (vertical) can be 1x10, or 1x12, with 1x4 battens for the classic look.

    White pine weathers extremely well, and is very durable once properly protected following construction.   We also offer staining services for our new construction.  Standard wood preservers and semi-transparent stains are recommended.  Ask about pricing and availability when ordering your building.

    Standard roofing for our barns and sheds are a high quality 30-year asphalt shingles. Most standard colors are available, including gray, black, white, and chestnut.  We can usually located a color to closely match existing construction.  Architectural shingles are available as an upgrade as well.   Metal roofing is available as an upgrade, and come in a wide variety of styles and colors.

HAND-BUILT ON YOUR SITE

     Our buildings are stick built, on site, from lumber we make.  Standard sheds and storage barns utilize all solid, full dimesnional lumber (real 2x4's, 2x6's, etc.),  with no partical board, plywood, or composite materials.  Because there is no pre-assembly, we can reach and build on tough-to-get-to sites.   Little or no ground preparation is necessary, as the buildings are leveled on concrete patio blocks or pre-existing slabs.  These buildings are portable and can easily be built on rough or sloping ground.  Larger custom buildings are possible, and may require engineered wood products, such as trusses, or speacial load beams in order to comply with existing building codes and architectural plan specifications.

 CUSTOM BUILDING

       Every building is custom built specifically for each of our customers.   While there are a number of popular designs and standard sizes, any building can be customized to your specific needs.  You may wish to add an additonal entry way, window, or overhang.  We can configure and price any building to meet your specific needs.  Having completed nearly 4000 buildings in almost 30 years, we keep an extensive catalog of completed building designs available for your review.  Our buildings have been used for everything from basic storage, to agricultural uses, to unique and specific uses such as studios, or rustic cabins.  If you can think it we can build it!! 

SPECIFICATIONS

    Our standard freestanding storage barns are built on a  2" x 6" , 2 foot on center pine box frame,  with a 1" solid oak floor.  Walls and roof are framed with full dimension 2x4 white pine studs.  Roof decking is full 1 inch solid white pine.   Standard roof pitch is 5 -12. We use galvanized steel hardware. Hinges are 8" with nylon bushings and swivel hatch. We install interior dead bolts, top and bottom.  Compare our buildings to the competition, and you will see the difference.
